From 2000-2004 he studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. He continued his studies in fine art from 2005-2010 at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus in Trinidad. Adam now lives in Toronto with his partner and runs the ceramic studio, Clay Space, in the east end of the city dedicated to education and creative community. Williams’ practice is based in ceramics and mixed media. His interests include replicating architectural models of buildings as a way of investigating aspiration and desire. Other projects explore tribalism and human behaviour through body formations. Of particular interest are formations organically created during choreographed dance, and anatomical patterns that arise through physical activities such as yoga or sex. Since graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design, she has gained a notable reputation in Toronto’s applied art scene and more recently in the visual art field. She has featured her printed products and clothing in the largest arts and craft shows across Canada and the U.S. She was commissioned on three separate occasions to create distinct limited-edition signed shirts for the Art Gallery of Ontario. In addition, 13 of her silkscreen prints on paper are part of the City of Toronto’s Art Collection. In the past few years, she has taken her work in many directions, exploring different techniques and art forms, including public art and site-specific installations. Francophonie, multiculturalism and 2SLGBTQIA+ rights are reoccurring topics in her politically engaged and text-based art, using repetition to express ideas. His fine art practice is centred in sculpture. Trained in Berlin at Best Sabel School of Design, Thomas earned his diploma in photography and photo design in 2002. In 2004 he moved to Toronto where he continued his work in visual art. His awards and recognitions include the selection of his image "Tattoo" as the featured image for the European Month of Photography 2010, a Design Exchange Award for Best in Show in 2011, and recognition from the Design Exchange for his work as the lead photographer of Poor But Sexy magazine from 2009-2012. Thomas' work in photography has been shown at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien and is held in private collections in North America and Europe. Additionally, Thomas’ sculptural practice involves the use of Raku techniques in the formation of organic shapes. He is interested in the layering of textural components, through the use of slips and other media, to add tactility to his works. His pieces play with weight and form and often involve large vessels with small openings for the odd branch.
